The Wolf came in, I got my cards,

The black and bloody mire,

intro (play each chord for 4 bars):

OK!  I have finally unlocked the mystery of the acoustic intro to this
song!  It is tuned down a WHOLE step and played in E minor, so it sounds
like D minor.  The real way David Gilmour played the four intro chords is
like this:

   Em9  Cadd4 Bsus2  Bbsus2
1---2-----0-----0-----0--|
2---3-----1-----2-----1--|
3---0-----0-----4-----3--|
4---2-----3-----4-----3--|
5---------3-----2-----1--|
6------------------------|

Of course, no one wants to tune down a whole step just for the first few
minutes of the song, so I invented a way to play it in standard tuning.
The chords are shown above, but for a recap here they are:

   Dm9  Bbadd4 Asus2  Absus2
1---------1--------------|
2---5-----3--------------|
3---5-----3-----7-----7--|
4---3-----1-----7-----6--|
5---5-----1-----7-----6--|
6---------------5-----4--|

Try it!  It really works.

Dm9  Bbadd4   Asus2   Absus2

       Dm9
You've got to be crazy, you've got to have a real need
          Bbadd4
You gotta sleep on your toes when you're on the street
                                                       Asus2
You got to be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed
Then moving in silently, downwind and out of sight
Absus2
You've got to strike when the moment is right without thinking
Dm9                                                     Bbadd4
After a while you can work on points for style, like the club tie
And the firm handshake, a sudden look in the eye, and an easy smile
    Asus2                                                    Absus2
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to so that when
they turn their backs on you, you'll get the chance to put the knife in

Hello, city limits, I'm startin out brand new

chorus:
Hello, city limits, I see your sign
Left all my worries way behind
Left all my troubles and heartaches there too
Hello, city limits, I'm starting out brand new

verses (same as chorus):

I need a change of scenery, I need it real bad
To help me forget all the hard times I've had
I've got a feeling I'll find a love that's true
Well, hello city limits, I'm starting out brand new

I haven't told a soul just where I'm gonna be
Cause I don't want the blues to catch up with me
I may decide to change my name too
Hello city limits, I'm starting out brand new
